Public Response Worst Case Anthrax Scenarios
Tuesday, May 28, 2013 10:15:00 AM CDT - Saturday, May 28, 2016 11:15:00 AM CDT
How will the public respond in a “worst-case” anthrax scenario? The webinar will focus on data from a series of three Harvard polling projects that provide valuable insight into the public's likely response to a mass prophylaxis program in the case of an anthrax attack. The polls are built around a “worst-case scenario” in which cases of inhalation anthrax are discovered without an identified location and the entire population of a city/ town is asked to receive antibiotic prophylaxis within a 48-hour period. Together, the polls examine critical elements of the public response and public health communication in a bioterrorist event.
